We are so excited that your child will be part of our RedeemerKIDS Christmas Choir this year! This is an incredible opportunity to showcase the gifts and talents of our PreK-4 through 4th grade kiddos. Please make note of the dates provided and mark your calendars accordingly. More detailed info will be provided at a later time.
Practice Info:
Older kids (1st-4th grade) will begin practicing earlier than the younger kids (PreK-4 & Kinder). This gives older kids more time to rehearse their songs and speaking parts. Practice dates for 1st-4th grade kiddos are 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18, 12/2 & 12/9 from 5:30-6:15pm. Practice dates for PreK-4 and Kinder kiddos are 11/4, 11/11, 11/18, 12/2 & 12/9 from 5:30-6:15pm.
Practice Dinners:
In an effort to alleviate dinnertime stress, we will be offering the option to purchase pizza ($2 per slice) for your family on Wednesday evening practice dates. You may purchase pizza for every single practice or for as few as you'd like. Please note that the pizza program is optional - you do not have to participate. If you would like to order pizza, please click the link provided and complete the necessary form.
Audition Info:
NEW this year - we will be having CLOSED auditions (no parents/grandparents) to help ease our kiddos' nerves. Parents, thank you for waiting in the lobby or on the patio while auditions are being held. **Auditioning children must be able to read independently and fluently (no start/stop) and must practice in the weeks prior to the audition date.**
Speaking part auditions will be held during our second rehearsal on October 28. If your child would like to audition, please have them work on the Audition Scene OR Scripture Reading that will be in the confirmation email after registering for RedeemerKIDS Christmas Choir.
Solo Auditions will be held at our third rehearsal on November 4. We will let kiddos know which song to practice at our first rehearsal.
**If your child earns a speaking part or solo, there will be an additional required rehearsal on Sunday, December 6 following the 11:15 service. An additional rehearsal may be added as needed.**
Dress Rehearsal Info:
Our dress rehearsal (all kiddos) will begin at 2:30pm, prior to the performance on Sunday, December 13th. **If your child is unable to attend the dress rehearsal, he/she is NOT eligible to audition for a speaking part or solo.**
Performance Info:
Our Christmas Choir performance will be Sunday, December 13th at 4pm. Cookies & hot chocolate will be served in the Building A Lobby following the performance. **Please note: children will NOT be singing on Christmas Eve this year. The only performance is December 13.**
