The MomCo (short for Mom Community)
— where we mobilize moms all over the world to build life-changing community.
We’re convinced that moms are some of the most powerful creatures on the planet. What is the word people use to define powerful things? It is ‘the mother’… the mother of all storms, the mother of all traffic, the mother load. To be a mother is to be a force of nature, but that doesn’t mean it should be done alone. We saved you a seat.
Redeemer PM MomCo consists of dinner, a devotional, and a short speaker/video/craft or all the above related to motherhood and/or our wonderful kids. There is always time for discussion around whatever the topic might be and it's a safe place to share exactly where you are in your parenting journey with other moms.
The MomCo 2025-2026 theme is: MAKE IT AWKWARD
When [Jesus] had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So, they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. LUKE 5:4-7, NIV
In a world that values polish over vulnerability, we’re reclaiming the power of awkwardness. Why? Because awkward is authentic and charming. It’s a breath of fresh air. Sometimes in our quest to be seen as competent, professional and sophisticated, we forget the value of being real. Isn’t it interesting how we love and appreciate
awkwardness in others yet fight it off when we feel it in ourselves? Moms self-report loneliness in staggering statistics, probably because they feel no one truly knows the truest version of themselves. And there’s one way to make that happen—by getting awkward.
MomCo will begin Tuesday, August 26th at 6pm in Building B. We will meet every other Tuesday for a total of 8 meetings (8/26, 9/9, 9/23, 10/7, 10/21, 11/4, 11/18, 12/2). Redeemer Church's address is 18218 HWY 6 Manvel, TX 77578.
