RETREAT OVERVIEW:

On Friday & Saturday evenings we will participate together in worship, prayer, listening to speakers, learning together in small group conversations, communion, and camaraderie. On Saturday morning/afternoon we will have three (3) different recreational activity options for fellowship: fishing, golf, and an organized historical tour around the Palacios area. We will conclude on Sunday morning with a sunrise service followed by breakfast. We will then depart for Manvel in time to re-join our families for the 11:15am service at Redeemer Church.

FORMED 2026

Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. - Genesis 2:7

From the very beginning, God has been at work forming men. And He is still at work in us today. Yet we live in a world that is constantly competing for our attention and influencing the men we are becoming. Our work, our schedules, our relationships, our successes, our struggles, our culture, and the things we give our time and attention to all have the ability to shape us.

In the midst of everything competing to shape us, are we allowing God to form us into the men He created us to be? 

In Genesis 2:7, we read that “the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.” The Hebrew word used for formed is yatsar (יָצַר), meaning to form, fashion, or shape, the same kind of language used to describe a potter shaping clay. It reminds us that we were created by a God who forms intentionally and with purpose.

And His forming work in us is not finished.

As men, we have to be willing to put ourselves back in the hands of the One who formed us, allowing Him to shape our hearts, challenge us, strengthen us, and continue forming us into the men He has called us to be.

We invite you to join us for the 2026 Redeemer Men's Retreat as we step away from the noise and distractions of everyday life and make room for God to work. Together, we'll pursue Christ, strengthen brotherhood, and ask a simple but important question:

God, what are You trying to FORM in me?

COST / REGISTRATION FEE: $195.00 

IIncludes 2-nights of lodging, all meals, and t-shirt. *Does not include any cost associated with the Saturday daytime activities (i.e. Golf Course green fee,  admission to museum, etc).

FISHING (space is limited):

Fishing License, rod & reel, tackle/bait bucket (*redfish/trout), net/boga grips, stringer, wading, shoes/boots, wading belt*, waders/pants/bathing suit, sunscreen, sunglasses,cash for fuel 

GOLF (4-man scramble | Rio Colorado Golf Course | Bay City, TX):

$40 for green fee (estimated), golf clubs/golf balls/golf tees, collared golf shirt/golf attire/golf shoes, sunscreen 

HISTORICAL TOUR & LUNCH

$5.00 for City By The Sea Museum (suggested donation).  Cash/credit card for lunch. Bring walking shoes.
